Chief Accountant

The company “WAELCON” is hiring a Chief Accountant.

The Chief accountant is responsible for all functions related to the accounting and financial registry activities of the company, for decisions taken within this framework, performed /systematized work and results in accordance with the principles established by law and internal rules

The main responsibilities of the Chief Accountant are:

• Accounting management, timely preparation of reports and submission to relevant authorities
• Preparation of reports arising from the company’s activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia
• Provision of work on calculation of company employees’ salary, equalized payments and other payments
• Provision of work on the reception, storage of purchased inventory items, accounting for the movement of accumulated funds
• Verification and accounting of the accuracy of the payment documents received for the works performed, services rendered and goods supplied within the framework of the signed contracts.
• Control of completeness and accuracy of management reports
• At the final stage of the continuous import process, preparation of necessary documents for customs clearance, control of functions performed by the customs agent and authorized person of the organization
• Accounting of accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Conducting an accurate analysis of income and expenses
• Creation of pre-planned registry bases on the works of ongoing constructions, control of current works necessary for drawing up executive acts and their implementation
• Drafting contracts, agreements, acceptance and other legal acts
• Control of the financial component of contracts with internal and external partners
• Preparation of financial and accounting reports (Financial planning relative to time, analytical situation) in accordance with the approved formats of the company
• Tracking changes in accounting and financial tax legislation and maintaining accounting in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation
• Taking full responsibility for decisions made, performed/coordinated work and results in accordance with the legislation in force within the accounting and financial tax legislation

Required knowledge and qualifications

• Educational degree (at least Master’s degree) in accounting, finance
• At least 5 years of experience in financial management and accounting
•  Excellent knowledge of accounting software AS, financial data analysis
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Armenian, Russian, knowledge of English language is desirable
•  Excellent knowledge of MS Office
